BOMB GROUP Striving for B-17: Queen of the Skies Excellence
The 918th Bomb Group (H) conducts historical simulated bombing missions
with the B-17 Computer Emulator by Preston McMurray and board game B-17: Queen of the
Skies by Avalon-Hill. The missions are based on the actual aerial
combat action of the 306th Bomb Group (H) based at Thurleigh, England
during World War Two. It is a bomb group based upon the novel
and movie "Twelve O'clock High" written by Beirne Lay Jr. and Sy Bartlett.
The movie was
produced by 20th Century Fox.
